The Thursday Thirteen: THE HUNGER GAMES by Suzanne Collins

In honor of the midnight tickets I hold for tonight's movie premier, this Thursday Thirteen I review Suzanne Collins 2008 wildly popular THE HUNGER GAMES in just thirteen words. Anyone can play, punctuation does not count towards word limit, but emoticons do :) That's 1. If you'd like to be featured here, email me at shielacblank(at)aol(dot)com and I'll get it posted. It's the most fun you can have in thirteen words or less!

Here we go:

Brave teen fights to the death for family/home. You. Can't. Look. Away.

And there's your Thursday Thirteen! I'm off to take a nap. At my age, midnight movies take a lot more prep than they used to :)

Happy reading and ¡Buen Provecho!

  3. I love your summary. Still can't believe I enjoyed the book. It made me feel like a citizen of the Capitol.

  4. Child gladiators. Oppressive government. Camping trip from hell. Should've stopped at book one.

Tee hee. That was fun. The middle school portion of my school is going on a field trip tomorrow to see it, and I have to go to a fourteen hour science fair.

    My life for a trade.

    1. Agreed. Hope the science fair went better than the hunger games themselves :)

  5. I think I'm the only person not interested in seeing this film, lol. I still haven't gotten around to reading the book... But see, I have this allergy to YA. :P

    1. Thanks, Jenny! I sure did, but it took most of the weekend to recover from the midnights :)
